Three day program.....
Here's an idea of what a three-day program may include. While the following is based around the market in Bricquebec (Mondays) we can also organise a program around the Friday market in our local village, Les Pieux. Feel free to contact us so that we can help organise your tailor- made trip to Normandy.
DAY ONE....
Sunday
- Arrival at La Blonderie in the afternoon. Time to relax a little and explore your surroundings.
- 5 p.m Cookery class no. 1 in the farmhouse kitchen.

Recipés are chosen with in-season, fresh produce in mind.
A sample menu may include:
Pommeau – Apple apéritif served with nibbles
*****
Hot Goat’s Cheese Salad
*****
Bourride
*****
Normandy Cheese Platter served with salad
*****
Raspberry Gratin with Almond Cream
*****
Tea/coffee
Dinner and drinks follow.

DAY TWO..
- Continental Breakfast at La Blonderie – freshly-squeezed juices, a range of home-made jams, croissants, pains au chocolat, café au lait/tea and sometimes, if you’re lucky, a traditional Irish touch in the form of buttermilk scones!

- Afterwards, it’s off to Bricquebec, a beautiful medieval town for the weekly market where we’ll absorb the ambience, pick up some fresh produce for our evening meal, sample whatever we offered, and enjoy lunch in the Knight’s Hall of the town chateau.
- The afternoon may well call for a siesta, or a spot of shopping, a stroll along the beach, or a visit of a historical nature – whatever tickles your fancy, we’ll only be too happy to set you in the right direction, as long as you’re back at La Blonderie around 5p.m for another hands-on cookery class followed once again by the fruits of your labours!
DAY THREE...
.
- Continental breakfast
- Excursion No.2 : Visit to Theo Capelle's Ciderie where the best of Normandy’s apples are transformed into the most delicious drinks in the forms of cider, pommeau and calvados.
- Lunch (menu du jour) in one of our favourite restaurants, where the use of high-quality, local ingredients is all-important, and presentation a work of art.
- Afternoon: Serious food preparation will be required for this serious foodie adventure.
Back at La Blonderie we’ll together prepare for a meal that’ll be later cooked in an authentique post-revolution (1789) boulangerie oven chez François

While waiting for bread to rise and our food to cook, we may take a walk with François (weather-permitting) around his village, visiting the mill, which in the past provided the flour for the boulangerie, and the gardens of the manoir where the local aristocracy once lived.
A typical menu may include:
Kir Normand
*****
Homemade Black Pudding Terrine with freshly-baked bread
*****
Lamb braised in cider
*****
Teurgoule (Normandy Rice Pudding)
Dinner and drinks
